William McCoy was the Vice President of Philip Morris Incorporated in 1984 and President/CEO of the short-lived Philip Morris Industrial subsidiary


1984 Aug 8: On the second-level executives list of those in Philip Morris dealing with Smoking & Health issues. This is an update on Voluntary Health Associations expenditures. He appears to be at about the same level as Frank Resnik and Bill Murray.

    William D. McCoy Vice President Philip Morris Incorporated.. President and Chief Executive Officer Philip Morris Industrial William D. McCoy, President of Phiilip Morris Industrial, was elected a Vice President' and appointed Chief Executive Officer of Philip Morris Industrial by the Board' of Directors of Philip Morris Incorporated in December 1976.

    He was previously President and Chief Operating Officer of Philip Morris Industrial.

    Mr. McCoy joined Philip Morris in December 1972 as Executive Vice President, Marketing,, for Milprint, a company formerly in the Philip Morris Industrial Packaging Group. He became Executive Vice President, General Administration for Philip Morris Inddustrial In January 1974 : and was named President in November 1975, effective January 1, 1976.

    Mr. McCoy holds a B.S. in economics from Fordham University and an M.B.A. from Hofstra University. He was associated with IBM Corporation, New York, for 17 years, In sales management, marketing, and product line management. In 1970 he left IBM to become President of American Polymers Inc. of New Jersey, a multi-divisional Industrial plastics company.
